The unit focuses on the application of grammar (modal verbs) in everyday English. The learning package can be used for self-study, but it is much more effective to train vocabulary (paraphrasing) and the correct use of modals in class, either by using laptop computers or a presentation computer and a data projector. Please, take a look at the notes for teachers and students at the beginning of the learning package before you start working through. The unit offers a huge variety of signs, but it is not necessary to work through the whole package! An emphasis should be put on spoken English and not on grammar theory!
